That one time I went to the St. Louis Renaissance Faire and let a snake crawl through my hair
About me
Hello! I am currently a journalism student at the University of Missouri, pursuing a degree in publication design. I am starting my semester as a feature designer for Vox Magazine, Columbia's weekly arts and culture magazine. Previously, I worked as a front page designer at the Columbia Missourian — the daily community newspaper — and after that semester became a design teaching assistant there. I am still a teaching assistant, which makes me also a student, because bouncing ideas for conceptual and clear design is achieved best when surrounded by peers who love white space and typography as much as you do.
I am naturally good at planning, multi tasking and working on a tight deadline. After graduating from the Journalism school, I strive to work in a creative, fast-paced environment. My design style is audience-oriented and bold. I follow the "go big or go home" motto; I am not afraid to push my limits and step outside the constraint of the "box." I am also very interested in web design and, after trying myself at website mobile design, I moved on to learning ap design. Overall, I work to present the information given to me by writers in the most attractive, interactive, effective and attention grabbing way. And I want to apply my personal design style to your publication to make it stand out against the competition.
And after saving the world one designed page at a time, I hope to still be able to do yoga, cross stitch and pet as many cats as humanly possible.
