Columbia Missourian is a daily newspaper, written and designed by University of Missouri students and operated by award-winning faculty editors. In 2017, the Missourian's circulation was about 5,000 readers throughout Boone County.

I worked for the Missourian from 2015 to 2017 as one of their A1 designers. During my time at the paper, I designed news and sport sections, and I lead the design of a new section that now publishes every year, called Boomtown. I also art directed the Olympics special section. I was able to set the guidelines of how the features looked, but I was also able to design the August 21-22 feature on Columbia’s J’den Cox bringing home the Bronze Medal. That front page was part of a package that won Columbia Missourian the First Place in Best Overall Design category in Missouri Press Association Awards in 2017.
