Boomtown
Boomtown, a Seniors Special Section is published annually by the Columbia Missourian, with content geared toward Columbia residents age 50 and above.
I art directed and designed the inaugural edition in April 2017. I was in charge of not only selecting the styles, tone and the overall vision that would set a precedent for the following issues, but also coordinating the writers, photographers and infographic designers to produce the final published materials.

Embark Travel Magazine
As part of my capstone at the University of Missouri, I was part of a team of designers who, alongside a capstone publishing team, were tasked with creating a prototype magazine from the ground up. We created EMBARK, a women’s travel magazine.
I was in charge of designing several department pages as well as one of the features, all of which you can see below.
At the end of the project, our group pitched the concept to Meredith Publishing and went on to win second place at the AEJMC Magazine Startup Contest.
